What to require before your next field comes out
School districts, cities, universities, and parks departments that own synthetic turf fields.
Removal is already in your replacement budget. Requiring documentation changes where the material goes, not how much you spend on the line item. Ask for these things in the replacement contract.
Chain-of-custody checklist
- A field reference number carried on every document from removal to final processing
- Infill separated on site and weighed, with the weight recorded
- Carpet weight or roll or bale count at the time it leaves the site
- Name and address of every facility that receives carpet or infill
- A processing certificate or lot number from the processor, not just a receiving receipt
- Confirmation of final processing with a date, and how long the processor expects that to take
- A copy of every weight ticket and receipt delivered to the district
- Permission for the district to publish the destination record on Texas Turf Tracker
We will help any Texas district, school or city set up a documented removal and publish the result. There is no charge for listing a field or publishing a record.
